Merry Christmas!!

What a great week we had. We were blessed to spend time with both sides of our families even though we did miss seeing our Aunts and Uncles. The boys made out like kings and we did not do to shabby either. Church was an experience with the twins. It was right at their dinner time on Christmas Eve and I felt like I was at a cow trough. I just had to keep on feeding the boys Cheerios and puffs. The boys all got toys that they loved. Eli's top gift we think was Gravedigger. This was definitely the first year that Eli really loved Christmas. He was so excited to leave cookies and carrots out, grandpa did not mind this. When we were going to bed Grandpa went outside the window with bells and Eli eyes were open with great joy at this sound. He kept on calling us back to say he was hearing bells or Santa on the roof. It made Christmas so much fun this year. The twins of course were more excited with boxes and wrapping paper and Eli seem to enjoy their presents more then they did. When we got home today the biggest challenge was figuring out how to fit everything in the house. We had to box up some old toys and then began to bring everything in. When we got it all in it looked like Christmas morning all over again. Needless to say it was a great holiday. We hope that everyone else was just as enjoyable. Below are some pictures from our time with the families.

Mom enjoying their gift, the Wii. It is a lot of fun. Watch out laundry my evening are now going to be spent bowling.

Children update:

Caleb is now wanting to walk everywhere. He is slow moving but can go long distances, pretty exciting!! His teeth continue to bother him but he still hanging in there.

Sorry about the coaster. Caleb always has something in his mouth. This is just a little clip of the walking.

Andrew is our climber. He does not show much interest in walking but wants to climb everything. At grandmas and grandpas he continued to climb up their stairs non stop. He was so proud of himself. He also enjoyed climbing on top of big boxes and sitting there during present time.

Eli is getting ready for school. He got a backpack for Christmas and he can not stop talking about school, only a few more years. Too bad mom has to go back in one week. He is starting to recognize a lot more letters now as well. He loves his flashcards.

We hope everyone is doing well and had a great holiday!!

Merry Christmas!!

Due to lack of time we will not be sending out Christmas cards this year. We figured with the blog up and running it was not that big of deal. We did have a great visit with Santa at the Zoo. On Friday we went with the Banks to the zoo. We were lucky enough to get to go see the Sea Lions before hand with Sarah. Eli and Andrew got kisses from the Sea Lion, Caleb was a little unsure. Noah had a great time feeding the Sea Lion. It is so nice to get these special extras from knowing Sarah. Both Noah and Eli enjoyed making Sea Lion noises. The kids were both excited and scared, the twins really had no clue what was going on.
Mom getting a kiss because Caleb was not so sure about this!

Andrew sitting very patiently while he got his kiss. (Eli's picture did not come out because of a battery issue in the camera, we think Megan may have one so it may be coming later.)

From there we went to see Santa. It was a great experience, for the first time!! This has been the first year that we have a child old enough to actually enjoy this. It was so fun to see Eli talking to Santa and getting excited to tell him what he wants. We started off with all three with him for pictures and then Eli got to talk to him. Eli did great, he sat there and petted Santa's outfit while he told him everything that he wanted. There were live reindeer there as well as other activities. Noah and Eli enjoyed eating marshmallows afterwards. It was a great moment for me, it really shows how old Eli is getting.

All three boys looking very serious, not quite sure what is going on!
Eli giving Santa his wish list. It was great!!

The rest of our week was running all over town trying to get ready for Christmas. Josh had a few days off so we were busy getting things done. It is amazing to me to think that I am a few short weeks from going back to work. I am getting pretty sad thinking about it!

Twin update, Caleb finally got his first tooth. The two are continuing to walk along the furniture with taking a few steps to get from one thing to another. Of course it would not be a holiday without us getting sick. Right now all three boys have colds, yeah!!

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and safe travels!

Family Time!!

It was a week with great sorrow. On Monday my grandfather, Frank Block, passed away at the age of 89. We were sad to see him go but also relieved to know that he is in a much better place with Grandma Block and Erin. We went to Michigan this weekend for the memorial service. It was nice to get to see so many family members who we had not seen in way too long. The boys of course were a hit. Eli had a little bit of a sugar high so he was off his rocker for some of it. They enjoyed playing music at Aunt Barb's and playing with our cousins Mandy and Casey. We also got to spend a lot of time with Aunt Andrea (who is looking great as her big due date approaches), and my Mom and Dad. The memorial service was very nice and we had a lot of time to catch up with family members and celebrate my Grandfathers' life. It was amazing all I learned in a day about my Grandpa that I did not know before. He led an amazing life! Attached are some pictures from the weekend and a video of the boys playing some tunes.

Before going to Michigan we had a good week in Indy. The boys enjoyed some play time outside in the snow. Now I need to clarify, Eli enjoyed it. The twins liked the snow but had major issues with mobility. They were pretty much stuck in the shape of a cross and could not even sit up. Caleb has begun his adventures in walking. He is taking steps here and there on his own. The farthest I have seen so far is 5 steps in a row before he gives up and goes for crawling. Andrew is not far off, he is just walking along everything.

We hope everyone is doing great and have an enjoyable week ahead of them.

Taking a little dip in the hotel in Michigan. All the boys did well. Caleb was definitely our swimmer of the group.
The boys at bath time. It is always a little hectic, but they all love it.
Trying to sled in the snow. The twins were a little unsure.

Below is the tape of our three little musicians. They love all of the instruments that are at Aunt Barb's house.

Stuck Inside!!

We had a very busy week this week even though it has been very cold and we have been stuck inside. On Wednesday we went to the Children's Museum with Rachel, Sarah, Maren, and Elle Goddard. Of course I did not bring my camera. I am hoping to get great pictures from Rachel. We had a very good time. It was great having a responsible 6 year old. That's right, Sarah was the greatest help ever!! Eli ran around with her all day. Then on Thursday it was a special Eli and Mommy day. The twins went to the sitter for the first time together. Eli and I went to bounce zone with Megan, Noah, and Brady Banks. I really felt 30 all of a sudden. Eli and I jumped all over. By the end we were both exhausted and my knees killed. Not only that Megan and I tried moves that we thought were possible but then found out they were not for us old folks. We had a great day.
Friday the twins had their nine month check up. I can not believe how close we are to one year. They are doing great. Bigger then what Eli was at that age. Caleb is 20 lbs 5 oz and Andrew is 19 lbs 13 oz. They are the same length and their head is the same as well. However they are starting to look more and more different to me. Well we hope everyone had a great week. We are trying a video for the first time. I just shot a quick one of Caleb walking with one of his toys. We hope this works!! If it does I will be getting better ones up. I also put a picture of Eli going to work on the construction site. Have a great week!

This picture shows how difficult it is to get hats on the boys. They do not stop moving, hence the picture quality.

A Week of Giving Thanks and the Flu

It was a full week for sure!! Before Thanksgiving both Andrew and Eli came down with a 24 hour bug. Let me tell you how much fun that was. Josh and I were up all night with children getting sick and cleaning up after them. It was an experience that I do not hope to relive in the future. Thanks to my children I then got the bug on Thanksgiving. I then passed it on to Grandpa McIntyre. Thankfully we were in Marion so we stayed there so that Pam could help out with the kids while Josh went to work on the following Friday.

Even though I was sick we still had a very nice Thanksgiving. It was great to see family, some that we have not seen in too long. We spent Thanksgiving in Marion and then on Saturday we met the Block side of the family at the Beef House. It was great to see Andrea and Matt, she is now only two months away from having the baby. We are so blessed to have such a great family. By far that is what we are most thankful for this year. Our families have been so generous in helping us out with our growing family. It was definitely a hectic year and without them I do not think we would have survived. In saying that we thank our friends and family in supporting us through this year. In looking around at the boys I see three very happy, healthy young men and this is in part due to all that you have done. We are of course also thankful for our three sons. So it was a good week, with some harry days in between. Attached are some pictures from the week, have a great one!

A Weekend Away

Well after 8 months of non-stop children we had our first weekend away from them. Eli went to Grandma and Grandpa McIntyre's and the twins went to Grandma and Grandpa Blocks. We are so thankful that our grandparents are able and willing to help out. We have spent all weekend cleaning the house, garage, outside, and spending some time alone. It has been very nice but the boys were greatly missed. It is amazing how three boys can bring such joy to a house.

The past week was a good one. The twins passed their breathing tests. We no longer have to do them as long as they are not sick. But in the same day our dog Jack became very sick. We had to rush him to the vet. Luckily Sarah had the day off and stayed with the twins while Eli and I went to the vet. So in one day Eli and I had been to the doctors with the twins and then to the vet. Jack had the flu. He was dehydrated and was put on meds. He is still not back to full recovery but is doing better. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving with our family in Marion. Attached are some pictures through out the week.
I finally caught Andrew on camera climbing on top of the train table. He does this very often. It was one thing that we moved out of their play area this weekend.

Caleb climbing on to his toy. He is currently enjoying standing on his own. This seems to be all he enjoys doing. He has stood on his own for a few minutes at a time.

It Feels Like Winter

Well we had a full week inside the house. Thanks to the breathing treatments we are really limited on what we can do. We still had a good week of going to the library, Kohl's, and Walmart. The boys are all very active these days. One day I was in the kitchen making something and I walked out into our play area and I found Andrew on top of Eli's train table. Let me tell you this was a big wake up call for all they can get into now. He has now continued to do it a few times despite different blockades. So it is going to have to be moved. Andrew seems to be the one that can get into anything. He is always, some how, able to break free of the play area. Luckily Eli is my alarm system. Caleb is now standing up on his own for a good minute or so. He is so pleased with himself when he does this. It is amazing how fast they grow. We are going to the doctor tomorrow to find out how the boys are doing and how much longer we need to continue with the breathing treatments. Once we went down to two a day, yesterday, things have been a lot easier.

We did have a fun visit with the Banks'. Eli and Noah enjoyed playing around. The twins even are getting in the mix of playing around now. It was a great visit for the kids and parents. Attached are some pictures of the week.

Last Few Days of Fall

Well we had a great week enjoying the awesome weather. We were outside Monday through Thursday non stop. The boys walked with me to the Fire Station to vote. They were the hit of the crowd. Luckily we had no wait. They also loved the leaves. Eli would run through them a thousand times. The twins would crinkle up as many as they could. Of course they tried putting them in their mouths but after a few times of trying it we were done with that. They were content for so long just playing with leaves. It was such a great time. We also were able to go to the park in our neighborhood a few times. We all enjoyed our time so much!!

Andrew playing in the leaves. He is always crawling off on his own!!

Then Friday hit and all the cold temperatures came. It became apparent how difficult the winter months are going to be stuck indoors. We all became a little stir crazy. The picture below is of the twins playing in and on Eli's workbench. It was very entertaining.

Earlier in the week I had finally decided to take the twins to the doctor because they were not getting over their colds. We were told to put the boys on breathing treatments four times a day until they get better and then work our way down to two times a day. Well it has been a week almost and we are still doing it four times a day. They just can not kick whatever it is they have. We are going back to the doctor in one week and he will reevaluate what we need to do. So needless to say my days are very busy with eating, breathing treatments, and diaper changes. Eli however is in perfect health and is completely out of diapers except for at bedtime. We are making it through naps now for the past few weeks dry. We are hoping for the boys to turn around soon.

We hope everyone has a great week.

Happy Halloween!!

Well the boys had an amazing week leading up to Halloween. We spent the week indoors due to the first full week of cold weather. We enjoyed visits to the public library, we went to toddler time. It was a great time for all the boys. The babies were able to crawl around and play with toys and Eli sang, dance, and listened to stories. We then went to the Children's Museum where we did more of the same. We also had to prepare for the big day by carving pumpkins. Eli did a great job with them, he really became hands on this year!!

We then had our trick-or-treating. Eli and the boys loved it. On Friday the weather became amazing, in the 60's and 70's. So we enjoyed the day outside and then got to go gather our candy. Grandma Block came over to help out with the festivities. Eli did great walking all over and the boys tagged along, by the end Caleb was passed out. It was a great time.

We are really enjoying the weather while we can. I realized how crazy I am going to go when it is cold all the time. I really have to get out of the house or I go insane. We hope everyone had a happy Halloween and we will post later.

Zoo Boo!!

The boys got to enjoy Zoo Boo this year. On Saturday we took the boys to the zoo after naps. It was a great time. They got to wear their costumes, get candy, see a lot of halloween decorations, and see all the animals. The twins enjoyed watching everyone around them. I think Eli enjoyed seeing all the costumes the other kids were wearing. Eli is a very terrifying bat and the boys are pumpkins. They were definitly a hit at the zoo.

We have also been enjoying some time outdoors. Before it gets too cold we have been playing outside as much as possible. The boys just enjoy crawling around in the grass going after what Eli is playing with. Right now Eli is a big fan of playing in the leaves, soccer, and golf (as always). the boys have been getting into a lot of things. The most recent discovery was Jack's water bowl. Andrew was completely submerged splashing around one day. Everyone is doing great. Attached are some pictures of the past week.
The boys chasing after Jack, this happens quit often.

Fall Fun!!

Well the past week has been full of fun activities for the boys, with some new firsts. Like Eli falling flat on his face, forgetting to put his hands out and getting his first massive fat lip. The boys also had their first trip on a hayride to a pumpkin patch. We went to Beesley's farm in Danville and had a great time with Grandma McIntyre. We got to go pick out our pumpkins and enjoy some apple cider. We had a lot of fun, even if the twins were feeling a little under the weather. We have also been enjoying a lot of time outside. Eli loves playing in the leaves while the boys enjoy trying to eat the leaves. The twins have really bad colds and decided to pass it on to mom and Eli but besides that everything has been great. We also enjoy watching our Colts and having everyone in their jersies. Here are the boys playing in our own football field.

Eli also enjoys running with Jack and going on bike rides with mom and dad. Eli loves sitting with Jack until they are told to go. Jack and Eli then run to Dad while he throws the ball. Here they are in position to go! We hope everyone is enjoying their Fall just as much as we are! We would also like to congratulate our friends, Rachel and Jeff Goddard, on their addition of a third little girl this past Thursday. We are very happy for them and can not wait to meet her. Coming from experience having three girls will be very exciting!!

Past Few Weeks

Well we have been busy the past few weeks with a lot of visits with family to going many new exciting places. Aunt Andrea and Uncle Matt visited us this past week. It was great to see them and to celebrate with Andrea at her baby shower. She is expecting a little boy, Evan Jacob, in February. (sounds familiar, all three of my boys were born in February) It was great to see many friends at the shower. Who could believe that the Block girls would be having all boys (so far).
Eli and Aunt Andrea

Eli and the boys have all been very busy little bees. We have visited both sets of Grandparents a few times over the past few months. While in Champaign we enjoyed trips to Curtis Apple Orchard where Eli got to feed goats, go through opstacle courses, ride on ponies, etc. It was a very exciting day for him. The boys enjoyed watching. The boys are getting into everything and wrestling over who gets to do what. With Andrea we went to the Children's Museum and had a great time. The boys enjoyed Babyscape. I am attaching pictures from a few of our activities over the past month. We really do keep very busy and I enjoy seeing all that the boys can do.
