Why are we always exhausted?

That is a question that I have been asking myself daily. By the time I put the boys to bed doesn't matter if it is a week day or weekend I am exhausted and can barely get done what is needed (laundry, dishes, clothes set out, etc). The boys are definitly full of energy and keeping us on our toes. Both the twins have been a little cranky recently. We think (never know) that it is due to their molars all coming in at once and the fact that they got their shots and have a little bit of a runny nose. But man they have been little cranks here and there. Poor Eli is getting sick of it. I hear all day "Mom Andrew now is being bad.... Mom Caleb is standing on the table screaming.... Andrew don't head butt me and bite me" These are all examples of what I hear through out the day.

We did have a good weekend. We went to our friend's (Mason Moorehead) birthday party and had a blast. Eli has also started Sunday School and he loves it. Every time we are learning new songs and new friends. The weather was actually pretty great so we played a lot outside. It is definitly feeling like fall which is great. Attached are pictures from the past week.

Birthday fun. It was our friend, Mason's, birthday. There were a lot of kids and a lot of fun had with indoor playgrounds!

Eli wanted to camp out one night. It lasted all of thirty minutes.

Down by the Canal

We had a great day downtown at the canal this weekend. We just went to walk around and enjoy the good weather. The boys loved it but gave us a few too many close calls with the water. They ran around the whole time. They were preparing for a canoe race on the canal. It took too long to start but we ran up and down the hill around it and watched them prepare. All the kids are doing great. The twins have had one of those weeks when they are testing everyone. They have gotten four molars each recently so that could be why, or so we are hoping. Below are pictures from us down at the canal. Have a great week!!

Canoeing, Biking, Etc.

We have been quite the outdoorsman recently. Eli and Josh were the first to take the canoe out on our neighbor hood pond, yes that is right. Then Josh decided the twins were ready so we all five went out for a spin around. The twins did very well and loved being out on the water. I think they enjoyed playing in the canoe the most when it was on dry land though.

Eli is also learning about his new big bike. We put training wheels on a little bike and boy does he love it. We went on our first long bike ride with him riding it the other day. He did great and never got tired. I was a little shocked by that.

The twins are enjoying the weather. They love just running and playing. One of our neighbors came by and said that it seems that we are outside almost all day. These winter months might kill us!! Thank goodness for the basement.

Besides that not much new. We hope everyone is doing well!

Enjoying the Weather

Us at the Rib Fest before the rain came today.
Eli and Friend Lilly Stoltz eating dinner outside.

The twins and Connor Certain having a little chat around the picnic table.

Enjoying time in the sprinkler.

All three enjoying a quick drink before they are off and running again.

The past few weeks we have had a lot of enjoying times together. The boys have loved playing outside and going around like wild men. The twins both have molars coming in which has caused some weird sleeping and eating habits but we are getting there. They just hit the half year mark so Eli is 3 1/2 and the twins are 1 1/2. I really can not believe it. I went to pick up the boys one day and I just watched as they played and it hit me how big they are getting. They tower over little kids at the sitter (they also may run them over here and there). It is amazing. The twins have also become very good at tantrums. They throw themselves on the ground and bang their heads. It is pitiful and our neighbors are getting a good sense of what our life is like. One day our neighbor asked if the tantrums are normal because the other day she heard one and she thought it was horrible.

Eli enjoyed a long weekend up in Oscoda with my mom's side of the family for our cousins wedding. He got alone time with grandma and grandpa and got to go on a boat ride and play on the beach. He had a great time but of course my parents forgot their camera so no pictures.

Above are pictures from us at the Rib Fest and playing outside in the yard. We also had two great trips to NHRA drag races but did not take any pictures there. The boys loved it!
